About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare research and pharmaceutical location in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The officer will help safeguard the site, support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, staff, personnel, and vendors, and provide customer service while following site-specific procedures and security protocols. The role pays $24.11 per hour and is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.
Customer service experience.
Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies.
Document observations and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation.
Maintain a professional presence consistent with Allied Universal standards.
