About The Position

As a Security Officer Corporate Building Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and site personnel while providing directions, reporting observed conditions, and supporting a welcoming commercial property environment.
