About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises and patrolling assigned locations. Officers observe and report activities and incidents, preserve order, and enforce client-site regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. They may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers. This entry-level, part-time position offers second- and third-shift work and pays $15–$16 per hour. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided. Applicants with retail, food service, or hospitality backgrounds may be a good fit. A valid driver’s license is required. Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check and be able to meet and maintain applicable security-officer licensing requirements.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, potentially for long periods; may include climbing stairs and walking on inclines or uneven terrain.
Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds.
