About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer in Washington, DC, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will safeguard the client by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine rounds, supporting access control and badge processes, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and representing Allied Universal’s culture of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity. The position pays $21.06 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate clearly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
