Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Leesburg, Virginia. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and assisting people professionally. The role involves communicating clearly, documenting security activity using technology, and contributing to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access-control and badge experience.
A Guard Card or license.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency-response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and communicate concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with site-specific policies.
