Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Control Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location in Ellisville, Mississippi. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide customer service and communication. The role uses computer or tablet tools as needed to help maintain a welcoming and secure environment. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $12.36 per hour.

Requirements

At least six months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site post orders and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility operations areas, access points, buildings, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
Accurately and promptly complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
