About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol and access-control Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Bristow, Virginia. The officer will safeguard clients, tenants, visitors, and personnel by conducting patrols, monitoring access points, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.36 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity; report unusual conditions and maintain required documentation.
Communicate professionally with site contacts, visitors, and responding emergency personnel while supporting a professional environment.
