About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Retail Site in Boston MA. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors while reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized access attempts to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs while communicating relevant information to incoming personnel and property representatives.
