About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol and emergency response at a chemical and petrochemical site in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security concerns, conduct routine rounds, communicate with site personnel and visitors, and provide customer service. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills and following site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, access points, loading areas, business operations, and perimeter.
Monitor site access, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Report unusual conditions, hazardous material concerns, damaged barriers, and maintenance issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
