About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Response in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will respond to situations with integrity, reliability, and care while working as part of a collaborative team.

The position is full-time and pays $21.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Maintain readiness of authorized duty equipment, document incidents and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Control access to designated areas by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized activity.
