About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Maury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. This part-time position offers a schedule-building option through the Claim a Shift platform. The schedule is Thursday and Saturday, 5:45 AM–6:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable licensing requirements; licensing may be required prior to employment.
Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals in custody by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned correctional facility areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and unauthorized entry attempts.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and related documentation.
Communicate observations and concerns to designated facility personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
