About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Lakeland, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries. In this part-time armed security role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will support a caring environment through customer service, clear communication, and teamwork while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. The scheduled shifts are Tuesdays and Fridays from 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, donors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required certifications and follow applicable laws, site procedures, and Allied Universal protocols related to authorized armed duties.
