About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer conducting mobile patrols in Eugene, Oregon, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. This primarily driving role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal’s approach through integrity and teamwork. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $22.00 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of telecommunications and technology facilities, access points, equipment areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access activity, visitor and contractor movement, and alarm or surveillance systems according to site-specific requirements.
Document incidents, observations, and unusual activity in accurate reports and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
