About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for badge verification in Cranbury, New Jersey. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The fixed weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may work up to 40 hours per week by picking up extra shifts and may scale back when needed. Pay is $17.40 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency-response procedures when appropriate.
• Monitor and manage access points; verify visitor and contractor authorization; issue and collect credentials as directed; and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access.
• Assist with the orderly flow of deliveries, vendors, and customers while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
