About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an experienced, unarmed driving patrol Security Officer for an aerospace and defense location in Lima, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, deterring security-related incidents, and providing customer service and communication. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. This is a full-time position paying $23.00 per hour, with a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The role includes responding to incidents and alarms, monitoring access to restricted areas, documenting activity, and following site-specific procedures and emergency response requirements.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations.
Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site requirements.
