About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for entry-point security at a logistics and distribution location in Buford, Georgia. The role helps safeguard employees, visitors, drivers, and operations by managing site entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting a secure environment. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and addresses security-related concerns with integrity. The stated pay rate is $17.40 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Control access to loading docks, trailer yards, and restricted operational areas in accordance with site requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and trailer yard to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
