About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused location in Santa Clara, California. The role is a driving position and involves safeguarding the site while providing customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors. Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, respond to security-related needs, and communicate observations and incidents professionally. The position offers a daytime schedule on Mondays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at a rate of $29.30 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license for this driving position, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Guard Card or license preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures, escalating concerns as needed.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
