About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support access control at a logistics and distribution location in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. The officer helps manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a welcoming and secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and deterring security-related incidents. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $19.68 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Observe incoming and outgoing deliveries, shipments, and personnel activity in accordance with site procedures, helping deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations and promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, and perimeter.
