About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an unarmed patrol and documentation assignment at a logistics and distribution location in Maspeth, NY. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may offer an opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.10–$18.10 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report unusual activity, damaged property, or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with company and site requirements.
