About The Position

Securitas is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Somerset, New Jersey, for Friday and Saturday shifts. The role helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, patrolling locations, preserving order, and enforcing client-site regulations and directives. Security Officers may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers. The listed pay rate is $20.50. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have standard computer and technology skills.
Interact professionally with a wide range of individuals.
Be punctual and reliable; timeliness is essential because there is no relief coverage.
Have a professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
Be able to multitask and remain alert in a fast-paced environment.
Have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
Have an active New Jersey SORA license or the ability to obtain one.
Have a valid driver's license.
Have open availability.

Nice To Haves

Previous security or receptionist experience is preferred.
Previous security experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and screen visitors, employees, and contractors upon entry.
Monitor security systems and access control.
Maintain visitor logs and issue temporary badges as needed.
Respond to inquiries and provide directions professionally.
Assist in emergency situations by following established protocols.
Communicate effectively with security personnel and site management.
Adhere to security policies and procedures.
Conduct patrols throughout the shift.
Monitor premises, preserve order, and enforce regulations and directives for the client site.
