Security Officer Full Time - Financial Headquarters
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to serve at a financial institution in New York, NY. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The officer provides customer service, communicates professionally, and reports security-related concerns. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts on Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pay is $20.95–$21.95 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local rules.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document observations, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with site policies.
- Maintain a professional presence and support a welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
