About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol officer in New York, NY, to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will safeguard the site through routine patrols, a visible security presence, monitoring assigned areas, and customer service and communication. The role is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and pays $19.86–$20.86 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Hold a valid driver's license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests by following site-specific procedures and access-control protocols, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems; report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
