About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer for a logistics and distribution location in the Bronx, New York. The officer will help safeguard the client by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, responding to alarms and security concerns, and supporting access control. The role requires customer service, clear communication, integrity, and collaboration. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight. Pay is $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and local requirements.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Alarm panel experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing vehicle traffic, and following visitor and delivery procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate reports about incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.
