Security Officer Full Time - Financial Headquarters
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer for a financial institution in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard employees and visitors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting a welcoming environment, providing customer service, and responding professionally to security concerns. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, primarily in the afternoon and evening. The role includes carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents and alarms, and preparing accurate activity, incident, and shift reports. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. A background investigation and drug screen are conditions of employment, subject to applicable laws.
Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, office spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access-control concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally while following site protocols.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and shift reports and communicate relevant observations to company leadership and site contacts.
