About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a healthcare location in Memphis, Tennessee. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding professionally to security concerns, and providing customer service. The role follows site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.

The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday through Sunday, 3:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. The pay rate is $17.42 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, coordinating with facility personnel and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security concerns.
• Monitor access points and help maintain visitor, patient, and staff flow in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Complete accurate reports and shift documentation covering incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.
