About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Sparks, Nevada. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, and vendors by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:15 AM to 2:45 PM. The pay rate is $26.16 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access irregularities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation protocols.
Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
