As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Bicycle Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking locations, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus personnel or emergency services as needed.
Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, assisting with access-control procedures and directing visitors to appropriate campus locations.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through clear and timely reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
