About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Credential Review in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds by bike, support access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal management.
