About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic educational setting, you will conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, monitor access points, and support badge access activities. Your visible presence will help deter incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, damaged property, and facility hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information with campus personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
