About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Desk Communications in Dayton, New Jersey, at a logistics and distribution location. The role serves and safeguards clients by welcoming visitors, managing facility access, monitoring entry activity, and providing customer service. The officer uses computer or tablet systems and communicates with employees, guests, site personnel, vendors, and leadership to help maintain a professional and secure environment. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and pays $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors, employees, and delivery personnel; verify access requirements; and direct individuals according to site-specific policies.
Monitor facility access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect credentials as assigned, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access-control systems from a stationary post when assigned.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and communicate professionally with site personnel, vendors, and Allied Universal leadership.
