About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Asbury Park, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a residential community. In this access-control role, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet residents and visitors, and maintain accurate access records. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service while helping create a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and pays $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by following access-control procedures and site-specific policies and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor and delivery records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
Document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and unusual occurrences in required reports.
