Airport Security Officer: Full-Time Morning Shift
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Airport Security Officer in Lihue, Hawaii, for a morning-shift driving post at a government aviation location. The unarmed officer serves and safeguards travelers, airport personnel, visitors, and clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role requires a valid driver’s license and strong communication and customer service skills. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $26.50 per hour. Applicants must meet age, experience, education, licensing, screening, and English fluency requirements. A computer or tablet and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds are preferred.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; at least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening, including the background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas.
- Monitor access points and observe assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, unattended property, hazards, and policy violations.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, emergency responders, or other authorized personnel as appropriate.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
