About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a morning patrol driver position at an educational location in Castle Hayne, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the campus, maintain a visible security presence, and provide customer service and support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license for this driving position, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control, visitor direction, and other campus support duties as assigned.
