About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for Patrol Operations in a healthcare setting in Wakefield, Rhode Island. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns and emergencies. The role calls for clear communication, integrity, sound judgment, and a welcoming, professional approach. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.22 per hour.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following facility protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
Maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming healthcare environment.
