About The Position

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. The officer serves as a helpful professional resource while ensuring people on the property follow safety protocols.

This is a temporary, part-time position at a site in Rockford, Illinois, paying $25.00 per hour on the first shift. No experience is necessary. The role involves protecting employees, customers, and visitors; responding to security incidents; enforcing policies and safety requirements; controlling access; conducting patrols; and monitoring security systems and equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer and technology skills.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure and vigilant throughout the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• Must be willing to participate in the company’s pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Responsibilities
