About The Position

Admiral Security Services is hiring a temporary Security Officer for a site in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The role performs security duties according to contract requirements and site-specific post orders, including access control, policy enforcement, observation and reporting, and routine foot patrols. The position may involve working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and interacting with clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees, and the general public. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., at $19.00 per hour. Immediate hires are needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a background check and drug screen. The listed drug screen tests for amphetamines, including methamphetamines, cocaine, marijuana/THC, phencyclidine, and opiates.
Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
Must be able to multitask.
Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office products.
Must be able to operate and maintain site-specific security programs.
Must have at least one year of verifiable work experience. One year of military or concierge experience, or an AA or BA in a related field, will also be considered.
Must have or be able to obtain a Maryland Security Guard card.
Must have an active driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform security duties as outlined by contract requirements and site-specific post orders.
Control access for guests, tenants, and vendors.
Enforce client and company policies and procedures.
Observe and report security and safety hazards.
Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the building.
Report pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, client, and appropriate Admiral/ADM department managers.
Interact with clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees, and the general public.
Perform other duties as assigned.
