Security Officer Warehouse Perimeter Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol the warehouse perimeter at a manufacturing and industrial location in Bohemia, New York. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and responding appropriately to security concerns. The position is scheduled for Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.07 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production, warehouse, shipping and receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document entries, incidents, and observations according to site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a secure and orderly work environment.
