About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for warehouse perimeter patrol at a manufacturing and industrial location in Bohemia, New York. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours and build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The position is identified as part-time and pays $19.07 per hour.

The officer provides customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Work includes unarmed patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouse spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials according to site procedures.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
