About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an access control role at a retail distribution location in Savannah, Georgia. The officer will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor alarm panels, support badge access processes, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role also involves providing professional customer service and communication to associates, visitors, and delivery personnel. The position pays $16.26 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The officer will follow site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Work environments and conditions may vary by location. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screen, subject to applicable law. Licensing may be required under state or local requirements. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers at a retail distribution center.
Carry out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access at designated entry points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain access-related records.
Screen inbound and outbound personnel, vehicles, and deliveries according to site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
