Security Officer Part Time Entry Security
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a residential community in Burnsville, North Carolina. The role focuses on access control and customer service: creating a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, responding to security concerns, and communicating clearly with residents and visitors. The officer’s visible presence helps deter incidents while supporting a positive community experience. The schedule is Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies; participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain visitor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond calmly to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations, following established procedures and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter.
- Document daily activities, access-related incidents, and unusual observations according to company and site-specific reporting requirements.
