About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises and patrolling assigned locations. Officers observe and report activities and incidents, preserve order, and enforce site regulations and directives concerning personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. They may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided for those new to the security industry. The listed wage is $15.00–$18.00 per hour. The posting notes that security positions are available full-time and part-time.

Requirements

• Strong or excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to complete patrols.
• Strong technology skills, including use of a cell phone and computer.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, potentially for long periods; duties may involve climbing stairs and walking on inclines or uneven terrain.
• Frequent lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security or customer service experience is a plus.
• Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is considered a good fit.
