About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location in Linden, New Jersey. The officer will safeguard the site, provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors, and help maintain a welcoming environment. The role includes routine patrols, access monitoring and credential verification, incident response, and accurate reporting. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM. Pay is $27.15 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify unusual conditions and report concerns.
Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following post orders and escalation procedures.
Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
