About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location in Taylor, Michigan. The officer will help safeguard clients, employees, shoppers, and visitors by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, monitoring activity, and responding professionally to security concerns. The role requires customer service, clear communication, and adherence to site-specific policies and established incident reporting and escalation procedures. Pay is $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with store leadership, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.
