About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Whitsett, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role includes providing customer service, communicating professionally, and using computer or tablet systems as needed. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.89 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, lobbies, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and assigned security-related systems, following procedures for credential verification, visitor registration, and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and follow established response protocols.
Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain daily activity logs, and communicate observations, concerns, and operational updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
