About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer for a logistics and distribution location in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, accurate documentation, and Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.98 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building exteriors, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter boundaries.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and driver credentials as directed, and report unauthorized activity or access concerns.
Observe shipping, receiving, and cargo-handling areas for unusual activity, damaged barriers, or other security concerns, and document observations according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach; communicate with site contacts or emergency responders as needed and complete required reports.
