About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a government transportation location in Richmond, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, maintaining a visible presence, and providing professional customer service and clear communication. The role offers access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts. The posted schedule is Monday and Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, and Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization according to site policies, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
Respond calmly to incidents, traffic-related concerns, alarms, and emergencies; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs documenting patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.
