About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for access control and patrol at a logistics and distribution location in Chantilly, Virginia. The officer will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, assist with badge access, document security-related activities using technology, and support a welcoming environment through clear communication and customer service. The role is scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $15.12 per hour.

The position involves serving clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols. Applicants may be subject to a background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor site access, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and maintain accurate entry, exit, and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with traffic flow and vehicle access during delivery and distribution operations.
• Use technology to document security-related activities and assist with badge access.
