About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer for a healthcare location in Fairfax, Virginia. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, providing customer service, and responding to security-related needs. The position pays $20.00 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday daytime schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM. The role includes monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control and visitor management, responding to incidents and alarms, and preparing accurate reports. The officer is expected to communicate professionally, respect patient privacy, and follow site-specific procedures.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable law.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas.
Identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions.
Assist with access control, visitor management, and giving directions while respecting patient privacy.
Prepare clear and accurate reports about incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities.
