About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a premier hotel and resort in Laguna Beach, California, you will create a welcoming first impression while helping maintain a secure environment for guests, visitors, and team members. You will monitor lobby activity, manage access, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. The role involves working as part of Allied Universal’s team, guided by integrity and teamwork. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at the hotel.
Monitor the front desk area, observe guest and visitor activity, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
Verify access credentials, assist with visitor management, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
Coordinate with hotel staff, management, and emergency responders as needed to support a welcoming and orderly environment.
