Security Officer - Part Time Front Desk
About The Position
As a part-time Front Desk Guest Services Security Officer at a luxury retail location in McLean, Virginia, you will provide a welcoming presence for visitors, employees, and customers while supporting security-related operations. You will manage access, monitor activity using computer or tablet systems, respond to inquiries, and help address incidents professionally. The role is scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM and pays $25.75 per hour. Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees at a luxury retail location while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
- Greet visitors, verify access authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals appropriately.
- Monitor entry points, lobby activity, and available camera systems for unusual activity; report observations according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
- Assist with access control, package and delivery coordination, and other front desk security-related duties to help deter unauthorized entry.
